Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is when there is a compressive entrapment of the median nerve by the carpal tunnel in the wrist. The small bones in the wrist form the carpal tunnel. This Condition is aggravated by repetitive wrist activity. It usually begins in the dominant hand.

Symptoms include pain, numbness, tingling in the thumb, index, middle fingers, and half the ring finger. Carpal tunnel will usually wake up a person with deep, burning, and pricking pain in the hands.

Chiropractor's will evaluate the small bones in the wrist and find fixations in the carpal tunnel region. A chiropractor will adjust these bones and relieve the compression of the median nerve.
